What steps should be followed to choose a PM stepper Motor
The choice of PM stepper motor type is directly related to whether the motor can be installed normally and whether it can be used normally. Therefore, it is very important to choose a motor, which is the basic condition to ensure that the motor can be installed and used normally. Regarding the selection of PM stepper motors, if you want to do a good job, please first determine the following three elements:
PM stepper motor selection element one: step angle
The step angle of a PM stepper motor depends on the load accuracy requirements and is related to the load accuracy that the motor can achieve. When selecting the components on this side, it is necessary to clarify the actual requirements, especially the requirements of the motor load accuracy. The method to determine the step angle is to convert the resolution (equivalent value) of the load into the motor shaft and how many angles each equivalent motor should travel (including deceleration). The step angle of the PM stepper motor should be equal to or smaller than this angle.
PM stepper motor selection element two: static torque
The dynamic torque of a motor is more difficult to determine directly, so the static torque is usually determined first. For this selection element, the main basis is the load of the motor. There are two types of loads: inertial loads and friction loads. There is no single inertial load and single friction load. Both loads should be considered when starting directly. In the case of accelerated start, the inertial load is mainly considered. For constant speed operation, only the friction load sensor is required. For this important selection parameter, the friction load of the PM stepper motor is required to be within the appropriate 2-3 times. After determining the static torque, the frame and length of the PM stepper motor can be determined.
PM stepper motor selection element three: current
When the static torque of the motor is the same, the running characteristics of the current parameters will be quite different. Therefore, the current is also one of the selection factors of the motor, and the current of the motor can be judged according to the torque-frequency characteristic curve.
When choosing a PM stepper motor, everyone should be clear, it is composed of three main elements: step angle, static torque and current. Once these three elements are determined, it is basically possible to determine which type of PM stepper motor is needed. Therefore, when choosing a PM stepper motor, you must first make sure that these three elements are making a selection.
